I'd say I cared more about the story of Paititi than I think I have about anything else in the series. Typically in Tomb Raider, I want to be out in the jungles, but here I actually cared about talking to the villagers, doing side quests, and just checking out the sights and how people lived.

The locations, particularly the villages, felt more realistic and lived in than anything I can remember in the series past. There are some late areas that were my favorite and allowed for multiple options to clear out an area. I would've loved more sections that allowed me to mix water kills with hanging people from trees, double knife kills, and more. The combat areas that are based around stealth are easily the best in the game and also disappointing in the fact that there aren't many of them. You need to take the puzzles step-by-step, achieving one part of them at a time before looking to figure out the next. The logic is on point, but not so easy that you will figure something out as soon as you walk in. I don't think the prizes are anything that great, however the puzzles to earn them are excellent. It is far more rewarding than Uncharted, especially the challenge tombs. This game has the most focus on exploration and puzzles of any in the game. My mini-review is below and I may sell the game vs getting the DLC, but I did enjoy some of the DLC from the last game.

Tomb Raider done (95% total completion, but I'm not getting the plat, bc that requires a second playthrough).
